Huge antique 18th or 19th c oil painting in the manner or school of Jan Van Huysum (Dutch) Large oil on canvas, relined and damar varnish applied in 1979. Framed in a handcarved gilt frame by Husar Frames Chicago. No inpainting found under blacklight. I found no signature. Frame alone has a value of $1500. Stunning painting in amazing condition with only very slight age crackle noticeable under high magnification. Overall framed size is 45 3/8\" X 33 3/8\" H. Canvas wood stretcher size (replaced in 1979 at time of relining) measures 39.25\" X 27.25\". Guaranteed antique dating to no later than the 19th c. Possibly early 18th c. Breathtaking subject and condition. Looks museum quality.
