This lovely vintage Hummel figurine is in excellent condition. Measures approx. 6 inches tall. Photos are of the actual item please view them for more detail. Bottom back of the base is incised \"M. I. Hummel\". The Hummel marks clearly indicate its approximate date of manufacture.
TMK-3 The Stylized Bee (1960-1972)
In 1960 the Stylized Bee was introduced. This new trademarkwas a bee with sharp angular wings, the wing tips are parallel with the top ofthe V.
The Stylized Bee, sometimes abbreviated as Sty-Bee, appearedin three basic forms through 1972. The first two are both classified as theStylized Bee (TMK-3), but the third is considered a fourth step in theevolution, the Three Line Mark (TMK-4). This form of bumblebee was used one wayor another until 1979.
