*Please read the entire listing. I have tried to give detailed information so you know what you are receiving and how the software works. I have also shown pictures of the reader writer unit and software in use. You can see I have opened the 5D Organizer software and loaded a design folder. I have selected a design and sent the single design to the programmable card. I then open up the 5D USB Reader Writer module and open the design view window. I then chose 6 designs and sent them to the card, then I show the designs have been read from the card. I also show that you can print detailed design worksheets using the 5D Organzier program. The Reader Writer unit will work with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8. 8.1 and Windows 10 once you have installed the updated drivers that are included on the Organizer CD. I have used the unit with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 with no problems at all once I installed the updated drivers. I will also be available to help you with any installation or getting started questions.
I can only guarantee the system requirements of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. And as mentioned above, you must install the drivers included on the software installation DVD. The drivers will allow the USB Reader Writer unit to work correctly with Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. I have recently used the Reader/Writer unit and programmable card with Windows 10 with no problems.

* With 5D Organizer you will be able to send multiple designs to the Programmable 512kb Card. This is very different than 4D Organizer where you could only send 1 design at a time. You also could not read and view the designs on the card with 4D Organizer as you can with 5D. You will also be able to print design worksheets that give you detailed information on designs you send to the card. The worksheets will show information such as design size, stitch count and thread color information.5D Organizer-

I have successfully installed the 5D software and device drivers that are included on the DVD on a laptop with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. The pictures posted show the software and reader writer unit in use on a laptop running Windows 10. You must install both sets of device drivers included on the installation DVD to be able to use the reader writer unit. After installing I have been able to write designs to the personal d-card with no problems. However, I can only guarantee the system requirements stated by Husqvarna Viking.Once you have installed the software you will be able to view PDF guides for both the organizer and configure programs. It gives detailed instructions on how to use both programs. I am including a print out of basic installation instructions to get you started.
