HER COTTON DRESS IS FROM THE MOVIE CALLED, \"BABY TAKE A BOW\". IT WAS DESIGNED BY MOLLYE IN 1936. IT ALSO HAS BEEN FOUND IN RED WITH WHITE AND BLUE POLKA DOTS.SHOWN ON PG. 14 IN “SHIRLEY TEMPLE DOLLS AND COLLECTIBLES”, BY PATRICIA SMITH, 1977.

SHIRLEY TEMPLE BLACK WAS A BELOVED CHILD-HOOD AMERICAN ACTRESS. SHE CHEERED THE AMERICAN PUBLIC DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION WITH HER PRECOCIOUS CURLS AND TAP DANCING. IN FACT, THE LITTLE SIX YEAR OLD WAS SOULY RESPONSIBLE FOR SAVING 20TH CENTURY FOX MOVIE STUDIOS FROM GOING BANKRUPT!BORN IN 1928, SHE EVENTUALLY BECAME A US DELEGATE TO THE UNITED NATIONS. SHE ALSO BECAME AMBASSADOR TO THE REPULBIC OF GHANA, AS WELL AS THE CZECH AND SLOVAK FEDERAL REPUBLICS!SHIRLEY WILL LIVE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER AS THE ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL WITH DIMPLES, WHO DANCED HER WAY INTO OUR HEARTS AND SOULS DURING THE DEPRESSION ERA THROUGH PRESENT TIME, TO MAKE US FORGET ABOUT OUR SOMETIMES AWFUL WORLDLY WOES!
A very pretty Shirley Temple doll with shiny-blond mohair wig with sausage curls intact (one of the highlights of this doll)! Original red, silk hair ribbon intact too!She comes with a vintage, red ShirleyTemple pin, which reads, “My Friend Shirley Temple”!Her navy blue dress is vivid in color and has a nice sheen! It’s sprinkled with white and red polka dots! There are two, thin, shiny, pearl buttons on the front bodice! On either side of the buttons there are 3 pleats still intact! The dress is detailed with wide, organdy, cuffed sleeves!Shirley’s pointed, Peter Pan collar has a partially ruffled trim, edged in blue embroidery! It’s also detailed with additional embroidery above the ruffled trim. Her dress has a dark, even navy color (no fading), which doesn’t show up very well in my photos due to reflections. There are two, thin pearl buttons in the rear closure, which is lined in white cotton! Its brightly tagged, \" Shirley Temple Doll Dress, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Ideal Nov. and Toy Co.\". It also has the acronym, NRA, embroidered in red on the tag.
She also comes with a vintage, red, knit beret I found which is too cute!
Underneath is her original onsie trimmed in Belgium Val Lace! I can feel the original sizing especially where the lace is located. Her onsie is excellent and in unsoiled condition.Her navy, leatherette, center-snap shoes are in very good condition with heels attached! Original tight, nylon socks in very excellent condition with nice sheen!
Upper sable-colored, human-hair lashes! Lower painted lashes. Original, dark blond, double-feathered eyebrows (no repaint)! Eye open-shut mechanism works very nicely. Her hazel eyes are starting to crystallize.Original, coral paint color on accented nostrils and lips (no paint chip specs nor repaint)!EXCELLENT composition with original, even finish (no broken fingers)! Adorable dimples and cupped fingers (like she wants to hold your hand)!18 inches/ 45.72CM in height, five-piece composition body. The nape of her head is stamped clearly in raised letters, \"Shirley Temple, Ideal\". Her back is also stamped in raised letters, \"Shirley Temple.\"
