Sterling Silver Trowel Presented to JOHN DOULTON founder of ROYAL DOULTON

This presentation trowel was presented to John Doulton who was the founder of Royal Doulton for the foundation stone brick laying of the Parish Of Saint Mary Lambeth in 1871.

This is an extremely rare artifact from the Royal Doulton Family, and an item like this seldom come up for sale and are highly prized.

Just amazing detail to the trowel beautifully hand engraved floral design around the edges and to the handle.

A must have for any important / rare silver collector and for any prized Royal Doulton collector

Is hallmarked for circa 1868 and has the makers mark for Francis Higgins II

Just a magnificent trowel that would make a great addition to any collection
