Up for sale with is the most Incredible 19th Century, Victorian Period, Tunbridge ware Jewellery Chest or Coin Box with Drawers. The Chest is the largest and finest example of Tunbridge ware I have had the pleasure to sell in many years and is a Rare find indeed I am sure. The Box features a most unique Victorian form and design unlike anything I have seen before. The Chest is Mahogany with Burl and Walnut Parquetry designs in a wild and fabulous pattern throughout. The Box features 2 wonderful door which open to reveal 3 Drawers, which as seen in the photos are Mahogany secondary wood with hand cut Dovetails, showing the superb quality. The Box displays beautifully but does have some missing and or lifting Parquetry pieces and some cracking to the top, all consistent with the great age. There is a couple small pieces of the Parquetry inside the drawers which we will also me including, and the Box could be lovingly restored to it\'s full splendor. The Box is an impressive large piece for display and a great size for holding Jewellery, Coins, Watches or other Treasures, measuring 12-1/2\" wide by 12-1/2\" deep across the base by 14\" tall. The Drawers eachmeasure approx6-1/4\" wide by 6\" deep by 1-3/4\" tall. I doubt you will find another Box like this up for sale again, let alone selling with !
