A monumental c1815 Indian sterling silver wine cooler.

A rare form in Indian colonial silver.

Selling collection of Indian colonial silver, well over 200 examples.

Hamilton and Co., listed at 7 Old Court, Calcutta from 1812 to 1820.

Tapering urn form. Streaming acanthus turned at top alternating

with floral.

Cast grape and leaf highlighted branch handles.

The grape and leaf continue along the wine cooler\'s

shoulder and neck.

Grape and leaf to base.

Solid sterling, not weighted.

The c1815 Hamilton sterling wine cooler 11 1/4 inches tall

10 inches across the handles

and it weighs 92 standard ounces.

It is NOT weighted.
