A beautiful Georgian Irish silver spoon as shown with an added extra retailers mark, +++ this has the same initials as one other i have listed by a different maker.
this super item is 5.7/8 \" long approx . the bowl width approx 1.1/4\" x 2 \" , the handle has had a initial mark, It has deep struck hallmarks ,duty mark sterling mark. Irish mark. .the makers mark is as shown L.N . for Laurence Nowlan . date letter e for 1825 . it has the retailers mark for Stewart [ C Stewart ? of 1 Crompton court .Dublin, 1818 -1829.] this fits in with the date fine .
the spoon is in good condition and weighs approx 22 grams , it will polish up well i have left this to the buyer it appears to have been cleaned , it has come from a mixed lot i will list others later .
A great item ideal for any early spoon collection.
