I was fortunate enough to come across this stick in the beautiful countryside of Co.Clare in Ireland.It\'s an outstanding one piece. It is perfectly straight with thorn notches throughout.The head is lovely and comfortable to hold in the palm of the hand. I\'m calling this stick a Blackthorn Shillelagh Staff but it is very like one of the old fighting sticks that were used in Ireland long ago. It\'s a cross between a fighting stick and a shillelagh, but the size can be altered for walking purposes on request and at no extra cost.
