Antique circa 1900-1920 Konseal Filling and Closing Apparatus made by The J.M. Grosvenor Co., Boston, MA. This kit includes the hinged, dovetail wood case with 8 compartments. The cover is embossed with Konseal Filling and Closing Apparatus and the makers name underneath. The interior consists of the paper directions attached to the underside of the cover, 3 nickled plates hinged together, 3 funnels with thimbles, a lidded silver aluminum box with a felt roller and pad and a large supply of direction slips on how to take the medicine. Overall condition is excellent for age. There is some staining on the paper directions inside the box as well as the box itself. Both the cover and underside have a slit in the wood, but still sturdy, the plate and box inside have some pitting scratches. This particular kit was owned and used by a druggist/pharmacist beginning in 1914, who operated drug stores in both Bath and Freeport, Maine. Box measures 17.5\"l x 10\"w x .25\"t.
