A great strip with the factory boss showing a Cartoonist around (A Williams self-charicature?), perhaps something that Williams was used to dealing with.Williams\' strip was THE strip of it\'s time, hanging in factories, lockers, offices and shops across the nation, and reprinted in books and cards. The syndicate received so many requests for originals that they printed up the most popularly requested (full size as the original) to send out to fans.It\'s gentle reflective humor spoke to the people of the time.
CONDITION: Extremely Good.Extremely Clean. Ink over pencil on bristol. PLEASE NOTE: The glue stains on either side of the strip are from the original art being used to serve different publication (column) sizes. The full strip size was offered to some newspapers, but for newspapers that needed a different size ratio...a skinnier strip, the syndicate pasted bristol over the edges with panel lines inked on them. These paste up boarders would cover a half inch of art on both sides of the strip. It was photographed and the altered images were used to create a different size panel.
