- DESIGN: A unique and rare Industrial Brass Articulated Shop Lamp attributed to Swiss lighting designer Josef Frank circa 1920\'s. Characterized by Franks minimalistic aesthetic and signature \"dogleg\" curved armature the lamp articulates 360 from the heavily weighted base via the patented ball joint base assembly. Further adjustment of the socket/shade assembly which holds a beautiful \"Benjamin\" Edison bulb shaped solid Brass shade via a small ball joint connector. Patent marking is clearly evident on the large base assembly, completely manufactured of solid Brass throughout and extremely well engineered and machined.
- CONDITION: This rare and unique lamp is in superb original condition, completely intact andfully functional. Mild finish wear and slight tarnish patina with no damage or repair issues aside from some small bumps to the base edge. Original paddle socket has been inspected and appears clean and safe, the power cord has been replaced with braided rayon wrapped insulated wire. Rare \"Benjamin\" solid brass Bulb shaped shade is extremely clean with no issues. Full manufactures marking are clearly evident around the ball joint The lamps general dimensions are 17\" tall with an overall width of 14\", the shade is 5\" long…filament bulb is NOT included.
