Many thanks for your cordial words. If my seventieth birthday needed a tonic, it surely got on as I am, as I ought to be, deeply grateful for it.
I do not know whether John Lowle or Richard Dole are cousins, but I am very willing that their descendants should be. A good deal has been done lately towards completing the pedigree of the Lowles in England, and if any clue to the relationship of which you speak should turn up, I shall be happy to communicate it.
