A BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE AWAJI TURQUOISE/BLUE GLAZED DRAGON VASE

A fabulous rare Japanese Awaji turquoise/blue glazed dragon vase.

The vase stands 9¾\" tall.

Colours and glaze are bright and fresh.

There are firing flaws in the body of the dragon ( See photo\'s ) but these are usual when clay is applied to the body of a vase in this fashion.

There is also a flaw in the \'tentacle\' from the dragons mouth that should flow up onto the body of the vase but it appears to have been lost in the glazing process as you can see where it should be but it is glazed over. Please see photo. The tips of the dragons horns appear to be missing (see photo).

Also a couple of scuff marks to the body of the vase comensurate with age.
