Japanese antique enamel cloisonne ball vase Meiji 19th century, poss Ando, Sato?:
$125.00

A fine, intricate enamel cloisonne Japanese ball vase, 3.5\" high. Highly detailed, and very elegant. The deep blue of the background contrasts with the white plumage of the snow cranes. Possibly by Ando Jubei, or Sato, although I can find no mark or signature.I can not tell how old this is, but judging by the wear and style it dates to late 19th century. There are minor imperfections to the enamel of the birds, commensurate with age, and one small chip in the field enamel, which I try to show in the last photo. It looks worse in the photo than in reality, since it catches the glare of the camera\'s flash. There are some small hairlines cracks emanating from it, and one small crescent hairline crack in the enamel above the base.

Please ask if you wish to see more photos. These form part of the description.
