Johann Andreas Herterich (1725 Bayreuth - 1794 Hamburg) was an autodidact artist. He settled in Hamburg in 1769 and, until his death in 1794, was active as portraitist in this city. His son, Heinrich Johann Herterich (1772-1852) was also a well-known Hamburg good
