John Howland Revolutionary War Mayflower Descendant Autograph Signed Cert. 1830 :
$1495.00

This is a rare certificate from the Providence Association of Mechanics and Manufacturers dated April 1830. It measures 11\" x 15\" and appears to be in the original frame. It has a wood back and is held in place with the old square nails. Also the glass has some minute air bubbles in it which suggest that this frame has some age. The cert had some damage and was repaired at some point, also there is some water damage on the right hand side. That being said, the graphics are awesome and the engravings were very well done and quite elaborate. Here is the good part, it has an authentic genuine autograph by John Howland, who was President of the association. He was in the Revolutionary war and even was present at 14 years old when the British ship Gaspee was burned. He was descended from a Mayflower passenger of the same name. Please look him up for details. A very important piece of history here as he was responsible for a lot in Providence R.I.
