Thisgorgeous lady is \"Amber\" from the Southern Belles Series made in the 1960\'s. Amber is pictured on page 71 in the bluebook, \"Josef Originals, A Second Look\". When that book was published in 1996, Amberwas valued at $110 - $120. I\'m suretoday she\'s worth a lot more! Amber israre and hard to find, especially such nice condition as this one is!
Amberis wearing a peachy-rose dress with a very full skirt and a matchingheart-shaped bonnet. The dress has anoverlay that is edged in black \"lace\". The bonnet is edged in black ruffles and hasblack ribbon ties. The dress has aV-neck that is edged in black and short, puffy sleeves that have black\"lace\" on them. Amber\'sparasol has a black handle and tip and has black lace on it. On her dress are three applied, 3-dimensionalpink roses. They are surrounded byfronds of glittering, 24 karat gold sponging.Amber has golden blonde hair with brown accents. It is full of curls around her face andringlets fall down her back and shoulders.Her face is expertly hand-painted with rosy cheeks, downcast black eyes& eyelashes, delicate eyebrows and cherry red lips. She is so elegant and beautiful!
Amberis in excellent vintage condition! Shehad one rose petal on her dress that was chipped and I have replaced it with aceramic rose petal and painted and glazed it to match and you can hardly tellit has been restored. Please seeclose-up photo. Besides that she is inperfect condition everywhere else.\"Josef Originals C\" is clearly inscribed in the clay on thebottom of the piece. Amber isapproximately 7 1/2\" tall and 6\" wide and has a glossy glaze. Her colors are rich and vibrant and the glazeand gold gilt are bright and shiny. Youwill love this gorgeous Southern Belle!
