Up for sale is this very rare and important n\'tilat yada\'im cup hand made by the famous jerusalem based Artist Michael Ende, this magnificent hand made washing cup is made from brass with silver appliques on It, the inscription \"NETILAT YADAIM\" is made from silver and so are two hamsa hands with david star on the Top of them for good luck , on the back of the cup, between the two handels there is another silver applique In the shape of a lion holding apomegranate between his paws. the two handels are also adorned with Silver appliques in the shape of a grapevines.The base of this cup is marked twice, the first one is a signature in hebrew and english in hand written Carved to the brass with the numbering 3/36, and the second one is a silver plaque with inscription :\"SILVER & BRASS\" \"HANDMADE BY M.ENDE\" \"ISRAEL\". on the side of this plaque there are 3 silver Hallmarks, the first one has the initials \"M.E\" and the other two are marks of a lion and apomegranate, the Combination of this two symbols as you can see them on the cup itself is the symbol of Michael Ende Workshop.This item is a perfect edition to any important judaica collection, it is also an amazing show piece and also a very useful for any jewish home.another Netilay yadaim cup , very similiar to this one, you can see in the \"Minneapolis institute of art\" , you can find it on the search tab if you search the word \"ENDE\".
