The Western & Atlantic Railroad was involved in the Great Locomotive Chase that occurred April 12th, 1862 in Northern Georgia during the Civil War. This line was 137 miles long and the union soldiers of Andrews Raid were the first military soldiers to be awarded the Medal of Honor. Quite a RARE ticket dated so close to raid
