Traditional Masai Warrior Knife (aka seme)My family spent four years in Kenya, and we purchased numerous mementos as we visited the Masai Mara and other game parks. This knife (very dull) is made of steel with a hide handle and sheath. The blade is rusting and the sheath shows heavy wear and fading, and it is very tight on the blade. We left Kenya in 1982, so the knife is at least 35 years old, and probably more than that. I don\'t know if it was used or new when we got it.The whole knife is about 13\" long, with the exposed blade a little over 8\" and the red hide handle just under 5\". The red sheath is about 8\" long. I\'m not sure about the purpose of the metal piece on the end. The blade is thin, about an inch at the widest point.
