The piece formed part of a private collection consigned by the great grandson (Born 1944) of the Maker, Harry Towers, who worked in the Keswick Pencil Factory.

W.H. Mawson set up Keswick Home Industries after he left the Keswick School of Industrial Arts.

The Keswick plate is in excellent condition.
