KNUTSON USA SOLID MYRTLE WOOD MANTLE CLOCK HERMLE GERMAN BRASS 19LBS LARGE CHIMEThis is an absolutely gorgeous, solid (not veneer) Myrtle wood clock made in USA by Knutson Clock Company as their Oregon Myrtle wood Carriage clock with a German 2 Jewels Franz Hermle 340-020 movement. It features twin carved Art Deco Columns on each side of the case.Comes complete with key and original manual and instructions. Here's what I stated about its condition: "Magnificent solid (not veneer) Myrtle Wood case with gorgeous grains in excellent condition! Clock face excellent but has one scratch mark across bottom numeral 6. Key works and clock winds and bell has beautiful Westminister chime sound at every quarter hour and also gongs the number of the hour at the top of the hour. Handle is dented in at top but still looks beautiful to it. Sears clock repair says clock just needs cleaning to run and that all springs and everything is proper on it, but it just needs oiling and cleaning to run. The clock is not overwound and is still able to be wound but it just needs cleaning and oiling first in order to make it run."Even both sides of the back panel is done in solid, beautifully grained Myrtle wood. Clock measures 17 inches (43.18 cm) tall by 16.5 inches (41.9 cm) wide by 7 inches (17.8 cm) thick or deep with the door closed. Because it is all solid exotic wood it is quite heavy weighing about 19 pounds (8.6 Kg) by itself without any packing materials.
