For sale here is an Antique Hewing Hatchet/Axe made by L & I J. White Buffalo NY. It measures overall 16 inches from handle to point on head. The head is 6 inches from blade to top. The blade is 4 1/4 inches across the arc. Unfortunately the hatchet has been used as a hammer on the peen end resulting in several chips. The handle has a few nicks in the wood at the end. The blade Has a few nicks and needs sharpening. It is signed Hubbard and L & I J. White 837 Buffalo NY.
