This is a stoneware salt-glazed Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau table top match striker. The bowl has an incised vertical ribbon design of blue and biscuit coloured glazes. The glazes on the base are cobalt blue and dark brown. The base bears the impressed Doulton Lambeth England; 101 andthe incised initials of Edith Beard. It measures 70mm (2.75\") high x 60mm (2.25\") wide and weighs 223gms. Overall in very good, used condition.One very minute blemish below inner rim. A fine example of a Doulton Lambeth table top match striker.
