LARGE ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SILVER GILT ENAMEL Easter EGG LOCKET CHARM / PENDANT c1900

A much larger than normalantique Russian silver gilt (solid silver with a pale gold wash) Easter egg charm / pendant; finely made, with enamel decoration reading \'XB\' (Christ is Risen) anda floralbanner, and opening to reveal a gilded interior and hand painted enamel icon on gold?

A lovely, larger-scale example...so collectible & wearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very good. Slightest signs of enamel wear commensurate with age and use. Hinge/closure a little loose, easily improved.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1900/10.St. Petersburg and \'84\' control marks,with Russian maker\'s marks etc.

DIMENSIONS:37 x 23mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 22.2grams.
