LARGE Antique Cow Horn Ale or Cider Cup 4 1/4\" Victorian Scottish SCOTLAND #14DESCRIPTION: An antiqueScottish horn cup for cider or ale. It is made fromhighland cattle horn and dates to about 1880.This cup is all opaque blonde horn with a very striking brown and tan pattern. Made in the late Victorian Era, the surface is very lightly polished, the set-in bottom is hand-cut horn. It is quite large - 4 1/4\" tall with a 2 1/4\" top diameter. CONDITION: This sturdy horn cup is a fine Victorian piece for your collection, and has no damage. The top rim has one tiny rough area stemming from a natural bubble in the formation of the horn, not damage. It is negligible. I left water standing in it over night. It does not leak right now, but who knows what stable it has lived in over the years. You will have to seriously clean it if you plan to drink from it.Don\'t put it in the dishwasher.
