Offering at sale, is this Early, Rare, Antique, Large, Wooden TRENCHER / Dough Bowl, with notches on both sides, to rest the spoon. It is a large 25 1/2\" long by 13 1/4\" wide and 5 1/4\" tall /deep. It is carved from a single piece of wood. The Patina from age and wear is great. It has a rich, warm, brown color. It has a small handle carved on each end. It does have a couple of age cracks. One in the bottom, and I can see light through it.The other is on an end, and you can see light through it. It just adds to the evidence of age, and gives it great character. There is some glitter on the inside of the piece, I have tried to capture it in the photos. It would probably wash out, I did not try, I left it as I found it. There is some other age related blemishes, such as traces of white on the outside, maybe old paint. I have tried to show every angle so you can see for yourself, so look at all photos good. Overall the Trencher is a rare find, for the condition, size, and age. It is one of the best I have seen. I will answer all your questions to the best of my knowledge. I will combine shipping, when I can safely do so without causing damage to an item.
