Magnificenthand crafted Buddhist shrine. Brilliantred exterior with intricate gold fittings. Of handsome form with a traditional curved roofline rising upon tall columnar sides decorated withscrolling vines and floral ornaments, rising from the tasteful footed base. See photos for all of the wonderful detail.

Ofimpressive size, measuring approximately19.5 inches tall and9.25 inches wide, the shrine makes quite an elegant statement from all the way across the room. In excellentantique condition with just minor wear commensurate with age. Dates to the mid 1900s. A magnificentand tasteful altarpiece, would make a spectacularcenterpiece for the connoisseur of world class Asian art and antiques. Could be used either with a statue (Edo Period Amida Buddha statue shown here sold separately) or with an antique vase or sculpture. Would be wonderful either way. Handsome coloration and gold detail adds impact from all the way across the room.
