EXQUISITE Antique Victorian 14K solid white gold carved shell cameo pin featuring \"Two Graces\" or \"Two Sisters\" dancing women. This cameo comes from an estate collection where it was packed away for many years. This is one of the most beautiful hand carved cameo pins i have had the pleasure of owning. There are many vintage cameos that depict the \"THREE GRACES\" but i believe this scene of TWO women to be far more scarce. Technically this design may be considered transitional from the Victorian period to Edwardian, c. 1900.
The pin is large measuring 1 5/8\" Wide X just over 2\" long X 1/2\" Deep (at thickest point). The shell is very thick and is finely carved with alot of detail. The cameo is securely set in its original period 14K white gold frame. The white gold frame has continuous chased design all the way around with a cut-out design.
Pin has old c-catch clasp with delicate safety latch which is in perfect working order. The clasp is clearly stamped \"14k\" with a mark that resembles a bottle.
The cameo is in excellent condition...there are some tiny scattered spots of dirt visible only upon extremely close inspection so a professional cleaning may be in order. This is an authentic antique cameo pin that would be a stand out in any jewelry collection! Don\'t miss out on this beauty!
