LLADRO BALLERINA FIGURINE #4855 DEATH OF THE SWAN - BISQUE MATTE WITH BOX:

This is the very hard-to-find matte (bisque) non-glossyversion of Lladro’s beautiful “Death ofThe Swan\" by artist Vincente Martinez. She was first issued in 1973 and retired in2000.

She is a a bit larger than most Lladro ballerinas as she measures 9.5inches from the tip of one toe to the tip of the other toe, and she stands 5inches from the top of her head down.

It is inwonderful condition overall with herperfect little fingers all intact. There isa veryvery small (and extremely shallow) wedge shapedscuff with an even more superficial curvedline about half an inch long emanating from it situatednear the base of her back just above where it joins the tutu (see my last photo) on theOPPOSITE side from her display profile(she is designed to face to the left when displayed as otherwise you would be looking at the back of her head) so it really doesn\'t show, and in fact is hard to find unless you are actually looking for it. I never evennoticed it until Istarted taking photos of her for this listing.

Hertutu is decorated with a little raised scroll-like pattern in bright white and she has the palest lavender ballet shoes withribbons tied around her ankles. Her head is wrapped in the typical ballerina feathered headdress.

I have the original box which does show somesigns of wear and tear from age but the figurine herself has been kept under glass with my other Lladro figurines andalthough vintage, she really looks remarkable for her age and her skin isthe most beautiful texture.
