This is the Longaberger Hostess Sewing Basket, available only to those who hosted a Longaberger party in their home. It is dated 1995 and comes with all 4 plastic protectors. Handwoven of maple in Dresden, Ohio, the basket is in the classic stain and features one swinging handle. The bottom of the basket is stained wood and has a hole drilled in the middle. I have used this basket gently to store craft items but aside from a small scratch near the top edge and a couple faint scratches on the bottom, the basket is in excellent, like new condition.
The Sewing Basket measures 13\" in diameter x 8 1/2\" high. What makes this basket special is the protectors. It come with 4, one single one and 3 heavier plastic ones that stack on top of one another. The bottom one is single, the middle one is divided into 6 wedge-shaped sections, and the top one has a single section down the middle and 2 sections on each side. They make it really handy to organize your thread and needles and scissors, and other sewing necessities so you can carry them with you.All my Longaberger items are from my personal collection.
