Lot of 5 stampless covers, dating from 1823 to the 1850\'s, each with a different postmark from NH, KY & Mass., PA., NY,and also a \"STEAMSHIP 10\" cover. Twowith letter contents. Some better postmarks in this lot.

Includes:

1) \"DOVER/N.H.\" blue cds and manuscript \"5\" rate, on 1846 folded letter addressed to Mason & Lawrence, at Boston. Letter contents are an Invoice of Prints sent by the Cocheco Manufacturing Company by Railroad to Mason & Lawrence (the Chocheco Co. was a large textile mill in Dover).

2) \"Dartmouth\"(Mass) manuscript postmark and manuscript \"10\" rate on 1823 cover addressed to William Almy, at Boston. Docketing on back dates cover 1823, and identifies the sender as Silence Almy.

3) \"MANCHESTER N.H./3 PAID\" black cds, 2 strikes, on cover addressed to Mr. H.D. Robertson, at Warner, NH.

4) \"STEAMSHIP/10\" black cds on cover addressed to the Hon.N.G. Hichborn (Nathan G. Hichborn) at Stockton, Maine, U.S.A. A bit trimmed at right edge.

5) \"LEBANON/Ky.\" black cds and manuscript \"56-1/4\" rate, with \"In haste\" written at lower left, on cover addressed to Mr. E.R. Ashby, care of Hiram McElroy, at Morganfield, Kentucky.

6) \"MIDDLEBOROUGH/Ms.\" red cds, with red \"PAID\"& \"3\" handstamps on pretty embossed ladies cover, addressed to Josiah Doten, at Greens Corners, NY.

7) \"EAST SMITHFIELD/Pa.\" black cds and black \"PAID/3\" in circlerate handstamp, on small cover addressed to Capt. Charles S. Barney, at New York City.

8) \"AUBURN/N.Y.\" blue cds and blue \"5\" rate handstamp on 1847 folded letter addressed to Mrs. Margaret Stevens, at Marengo, Wayne County, NY. Letter contents from her niece, E. Stevens.
