LOVELY ANTIQUE ENGLISH GEORGIAN 15K GOLD TURQUOISE PADLOCK SENTIMENTAL PIN c1820:

A super quality antique English, solid15 carat gold (tests thereabouts)sentimental brooch; beautifully modelled as a padlock, with two chained \'heart\'drops, wonderfully finecannetille construction and set with lovely turquoise cabochons surrounding a glass locket compartment holding a woven hair memento.

A fabulous Georgian period mourning pin...immensely collectable & wearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of cannetille wear and tarnish in places commensurate with age and use. One drop possibly an old replacement (lighter in colour and hangs slightly askew, easily adjusted). Disparity in turquoise colours natural and perfectly normal.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1820/30. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:29 x 23mm excl. drops (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 6.2grams.
