Anantique hallmarked silver pair cased pocket watch with a lovely decorativevergemovement signed \'John Harrison, DARLINGTON, No.78989\', dating to 1851/2, ingood condition and good working order, running the length of the chain.

Theouter silver case is in very good condition, hinge is tight and cover locks shut, the catch is in good working order, catch button in good condition. The case is hallmarked for London 1851/2. The case measures 55mm diameter.

The inner silver case is in very good condition and hallmarked as per the outer case for London, 1851/2, with initials \'HWG\' (for Henry William Griffin, case maker, King Square, London) and numbered \'78989\' which matches the movement number. The pendant and bow are in good condition, no sign of any repairs. The case measures 48mm overall diameter, ignoring the pendant/stem.

Theconvex enamel dial is in good condition, one faint hairline from the centre to the \'IIII\' numeral.The bulls-eye glass crystal and hands are in good condition.

The decorative fusee movement has a verge escapement and is in good condition and good working order,runsstrong for the length of the chain (has just run for well over 24 hours from full wind, gains approx. 1 minute per hour). The movement is signed \'John Harrison, DARLINGTON\' and numbered \'78989\'. The movement is key wind and set which work fine, modernkey included.
