This listing is for a lovely vintage \"Whiting & Davis\" Art Deco Period gold mesh enameled handbag from the 1920s.

Small woven chain metal bag with pink, red and white florals, green foliage and violet accents. The bag has a gold metal frame with intricate embossed design and \"gold\" chian strap. The handbag is in excellent condition with no noted damage. The interior frame is stamped \"Whiting & Davis\".

Whiting & davis has been known for their striking, high quality handbags since the 1890s. Their patented metal mesh \"fabric\" has been supplied to various designers in the fashion industry to be used in both garments and accessory items. The company is still in operation today.
