Severine is a new doll made in an edition of 500. This is doll number 23 and the first to sell on . She is very slightly shorter than Bild Lilli but with bigger hips and smaller bosoms. Like Lilli and my previous project, Lalka, she is made of hard plastic, strung on elastic. The body is spray painted, then the face is airbrushed and hand painted. The viscose hair is set in under a screwed in pate.

Severine is a melange of Bild Lilli and Caprice, the french Catherine Deneuve doll. I wanted to create my \'own\' doll so I decided to meld these, my two favourite dolls, together. Severine has a longer head and softer features than Caprice, but she is based upon her. Caprices\' voluptuous body was lengthened in the legs and neck. Otherwise Severine is very much within the genre of Lilli but, I hope, a new doll that stands alone and a blank canvas for me to project onto.

This doll has a set beehive hairdo. She wears a beaded mini cocktail outfit , lined, with pale pink gloves and a silk bag. Her clear glitter shoes were made especially for Severine with her slightly higher instep than Barbie.

Severine comes in a clear display tube with a stand that was especially made for her. It will come shipped in a bespoke made card tube.

The numbered edition come with a signed card of authenticity.
