A beautiful sampler, nice and early one!

This sampler features a prayer, \"Jesus the only thought of thee with sweetness fills... Below that is reads, Catharine Diamond worked this sampler in the 12th year of her age 1834.

The top IHS, indicates: In His Service....probably of Catholic or Lutheran originIt has a light wooden frame.It measures 22\" x 21\"This sampler has some wear with a couple thinning spots, a few areas with missing threadwork, and there is some age spotting. (See photos.) There is also some age tanning, mainly around the edges, on the sampler that was too light to photograph.

The frame has nicks, scratches and a couple spots on it, and thin piece that is about 7\" long is missing on the bottom side, there are a couple spots/marks on the back
