Up for offers is this absolutely amazing art pottery/porcelain vase by Ernst Wahliss. By the late 1880\'s, merchant Ernst Wahliss had established himself as Vienna\'s leading retailer in porcelain goods. In 1894 he purchased the Alfred Stellmacher factory in Turn _ Teplitz Bohemia and began to produce decorative ceramic s under the name Ernst Wahliss Kunst-Porzellan-und Favence-Fabrik. By 1907 son Garard Martin Wahliss owned the factory and continued to create a variety of functional and decorative items in earthenware and porcelain.
This large 14 1/2\" high x 14\" at it\'s widest. The large squat form buff-glazed vase has applied large flowers and long textured leaves. The piece is signed on the bottom E W Turn Wien in a crown with Made in Austria under it.
Condition: Please take note, this magnificent piece with it\'s gorgeous applied flowers has pieces of the flowers chipped off, applied flowers are missing completely as you can see the yellow color of where they once were., there is loss to the green paint on the leaves and the gold gilding on the top rim is worn. There are no cracks in the piece or chips in the porcelain body but the flowers are rough.
