Antique Russian Icon - TWELVE HOLY FEASTS WITH UNKNOWN CENTER c1775

RARE ANTIQUE HAND-PAINTED RUSSIAN ICON

This approximately 240 year old Russian Icon was created in about 1775. It has THE TWELVE HOLY FEASTS. The painting in egg tempura is fine with much gold leafing.

The icon is in good condition, with good patina. There are a few paint chips and dings. The size of the Icon is about 14 \" x 12 \". It is mounted on wood with two insert splints on the back. This Icon would make an excellentgift.

I spent about four years on business in Russia and was able to collect many antique Russian items. This Icon was purchased in Archangel, Russia, about 800 miles north of Moscow on the White Sea.
