This is a beautiful large antique sterling silver Victorian circa 1890 Scottish agate lover\'s knot brooch. The beautiful stones are classic grey and whited banded agates from Montrose on the east coast of Scotland. Do make note of the lovely engraving work in the silver around the agates. The agates have been polished to a nice shine which the photos can\'t show.

The brooch has no hallmarks which is fairly normal for brooches of this period, but has been fully tested and is sterling silver. The length is large at 2\". The pin and C clasp are in working condition although the pin is slightly loose (it wiggles back and forth) and is not the original, but it holds just fine.

Overall the brooch is in excellent condition and a superb agate brooch. Do enlarge the photos to see the details and condition of this lovely brooch! A gorgeous brooch to add to your special agate collection! Enjoy!
