This frame is solid oak with a deep, rich patina. The wood is 2 3/4\" wide and stands out from the wall 1 1/2\". It is 29 1/4\"x19\" and the opening can hold a 24 1/2\"x14 3/8\" canvas. There are gaps in the corners, a few small dings and a 1/2\" piece missing on the raised bead, but none of this takes away from the beauty of this frame.
