LARGE CHRYSANTHEMUM by Piet Mondrian is abeautiful posterby Piet Mondriaan (Mondrian). This poster was published in 1968 by The New York Graphic Society. The original was a water color done in 1908 by the artist.
Size: 20 1/4\" x 12 3/4\".
In mint condition and has never been framed.

Piet Mondrian (1972 - 1911)was born in Amersfoort in the Netherlands. He began his career as a teacher and also practiced painting at this time, most of which was Naturalistic or Impressionistic, consisting largely of landscapes. From 1905 to 1908 his paintings depicted dim scenes of indistinct trees and houses with reflections in still water. I do believe LARGE CHRYSANTHEMUM comes from this period of his life.
