ABOUT THESE RINGS: New Old Stock Sterling Silver Hand Made Rings...we found a big bag of them that my friend got from her father who got it from his father and it has been in her possession for 25-30 years or more. When I first got them I looked at every ring for markings and only found one. So I thought maybe these were not real but I took them down to my jeweler and they tested silver! Each one has a tag on it with price and size. They are very much handmade, and a few are what I call \" rough hewn\" because you can see faults or things like welds and solder on the insides of a few of them .
ABOUT THIS RING: This particular ring is very heavy...13 grams. Looks like a sand cast ring. It is Size10 and 1 1/2\" long with wide sides. .. It is made up of alternating slices of mother of pearl, abalone and possibly spiny oyster fit together like a mosaic. It is one of those rough hewn\" rings I mentioned...it has little pits and rough spots on the sides. I believe he was making his designs up as he went along, so you probably won\'t find another one quite like it.
It was marked $39 three decades ago,so I will start it that again but you can always make an offer.
