This is an extremely rare pair of unusually large19th century Qajar vases. Designed & decorated to satisfy the home demand for Chinese porcelain. The pair is decorated in the Cantonese famille rose manner.

CONDITIONEach vase has a chip to the rim. There are various firing flaws as is common with Qajar ceramics. One vase has chips to the glaze around the foot. None of these flaws is particularly noticeable.

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
