• Large Superb Antique Taisho / Showa Japanese Black Gilded Satsuma Vase.
• Intricate designed continuous naturalistic landscape scenerydepicting buildings by the riverside against a mountainous background with trees. Note how depth is being created with the use of only one (gold) colour. This is the largest black gilded Satsuma vase I've ever seen.
• Measure bothapprox.31.2 cm tall and19 cm at widest.Weight 1.32kg. Signed on the base. Dates to Taisho to early Showa period (1920-30s)
• Condition is very good, somesigns of wear and use commensurate with age.
