Offered here is a stunning antique/vintage Victorian era very large Hand carved Mother of Pearl Shell pendant necklace. The pendant measures 2 1/2\" in diameter and is ornately carved with a center five pointed star and Cross. This is done in a three dimensional motif with a very delicate carved Roses pierced border. The Roses on the border are various sizes.
This pendant hangs from the original Mother of Pearl beaded chain. The chain closes with a spring ring clasp. The chain is a little over 20\" in length.
The former owner had this safely stored in a trinket box and said it was a gift to her Mother from a great grandfather. She thought it came from Bethlehem.
I have not seen a nicer Mother of Pearl pendant in many years. Please view photos to further aid in description.
