Up for sale is a very old leather duffel bag the type used to transport mail and mercantile goods before the switch was made to canvas bags. Leather has lots of beautiful wear and a gorgeous patina. Bag measures approximately 37 inches tall by 23 inches wide. The leather has some cracks and appropriate levels of wear for such an old utilitarian piece. The bag has several old repairs, that have been patched up with round leather scraps. There is also a small tear to the side of the bag that can be easily repaired and a tear to one of the rings on the flap that can also be sewn up. I am not completely sure of the age, possibly the 1920s through the 1940s.
