This doll dates from the 1950\"s . There were made for US Soldiers stationed in Japan as collectibles. She sits 8\" tall. 4-1/2\" wide, 5\" deep. She is reading to her grandchild. The figurine has some issues. The head of the grandmother seems to have an old repair, that shows clue dripping down her neck. There are a few missing sections of paint. The toes of the grandchild has a small chip. I\'m totally surprised that the fingers of the grandchild are still intact. Most of time the hand is broken off. I didn\'t noticed the damage to the grandmother\'s neck when I purchased at an estate sale. The angle of the figurine makes it difficult to notice. The wooden stand is included.
