Beautiful shade. I only see one crack inside the shade (pointed out ina picture with a small wooden skewer) and cannot be seen from the exterior even when light is shining through it. It has a hard shell backing which isa thinplastic type material (not cardboard - plastic or fiberglass?) The exterior is an off white woven material almost like grass cloth with beige/taupe nubs and a gold threaded bandingaround the top and bottom of the shade. The two seams are clean with no discoloration (there is a picture but it\'s hard to see.)
A nipple and finial are attached. Can be removed withwith some elbowgrease if desired.Measurements: 17\" tall; 15\"diameter atthe top; 16\" diameter at the bottom
